The Making of Party Pilipinas will air this Saturday, March 27

This Sunday, March 28, will be the much-anticipated premiere of GMA-7's newest musical variety show on TV, Party Pilipinas! But before the big weekly event officially begins, take a peek at the ten hottest things that the public should know about Party Pilipinas with its primer this Saturday.

Dubbed as Party Pilipinas, Your Exclusive Invite, the primer offers a very special sneak peek into the making of Party Pilipinas. Hosted by party jocks Bela Padilla, Gwen and Maria Dolonius, Party Pilipinas, Your Exclusive Invite unveils the hottest and hippest things that Party Pilipinas has in store for the Kapuso viewers, here and around the globe.

The primer will give the viewers an all-access backstage pass to the planning, preparations, rehearsals, photoshoots and even the creation of the newest party arena.

Furthermore, viewers of this special primer will also get to meet the creative people behind Party Pilipinas including the show's creative consultant and host Ogie Alcasid, the Japan-based DJ, composer, producer, and vocalist Kane Tominaga and Hollywood choreographer Fusion. DJ Kane produced the hip and upbeat Party Pilipinas theme song while Fusion has been rigorously training most of the Party Pilipinas artists on the latest dance routines.

The primer this Saturday will give viewers a glimpse of the Kapuso stars who will be joining the weekly shindig.

(UPDATED) Rachelle Ann Go reportedly joining GMA-7's Party Pilipinas

After Mark Bautista, another Viva talent is reportedly joining GMA-7's new musical-variety show Party Pilipinas.

According to a source, who is associated with Viva Entertainment, singer Rachelle Ann Go will become a mainstay of Party Pilipinas after her contract with ABS-CBN musical-variety show ASAP XV expires on April 4.

The source also said to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that ABS-CBN execs allegedly agreed to let go of Mark if Rachelle stays in ASAP. The Kapamilya network reportedly wants to keep Rachelle but a "generous offer" by GMA-7 "closed the deal" for the female singer.

PEP managing editor Karen Pagsolingan sent a text message to Ms. Veronique del Rosario, general manager of Viva Artists Agency (VAA), earlier this afternoon to confirm this report. But at press time, she has yet to reply.

Rachelle, on the other hand, said in an entertainment blog site that she has yet to hear the news about her supposed transfer. The singer added that Viva has not told her anything yet.

Rachelle actually began her TV career on GMA-7. She was the grand winner in the Search For A Star (2004), a singing contest co-produced by GMA-7 and Viva Entertainment hosted by Regine Velasquez. She had a brief stint in the defunct SOP before moving to ASAP, along with fellow Viva artists Sarah Geronimo, Anne Curtis, and Mark Bautista.
